CINCO DE VINTAGO EVENT

I bet you’re wondering what the heck Cinco de Vintago is… and why Cinco de Vintago!!! Well, the wait is over!!!!!
So my name is Kyle Knosp and I work here at Badlands Offroad Park. If you know anything about me, you know I love ice cream and cars—old cars—and even more so old 4x4 vehicles. Because of that, I wanted to create something pretty special.
The goal with Cinco de Vintago is to get a bunch of cool peeps together who are vintage off-road enthusiasts, along with off-road enthusiasts in general. This is going to be a 3-day event filled with fun, off-road vehicles, and vintage 4x4s. It’ll be the first of its kind here at the Badlands.
Cinco de Mayo is May 5th and so is my birthday so why not throw all of them together!!!
What’s Happening
We’ll be doing trail rides (and yes, at least one will be led by me in one of my old Jeeps), a car show, a swap meet, and overlanding at the Badlands for the first time ever. Weather will determine some final locations, but we are hoping to be along or close to the banks of the Wabash. Also if the weather holds out we’re also hoping to do a country cruise through our beautiful Warren and Fountain County roads.
Friday – May 1
6–9 PM | Vintage Country Road Trip
This will be a guided cruise led by me through some awesome country roads and covered bridges. If we have time, we’ll make a few stops along the way. There will be some gravel roads, and you’ll need lights in case we run late. Vehicles must be tagged and insured.
Friday Night
- Overland camping in the park for the first time ever
- You’re also welcome to camp at Ott if you want real amenities
Saturday – May 2
- Off-Road Vehicle Show & Parts Related Swap Meet
- Open to all off-road vehicles and enthusiasts
- Registration starts at 8 AM
- Show runs from 10 AM – 2 PM

3 PM | Vintage Off-Road Trail Ride
This ride will run about 3–4 hours, and at least one of the trails will be guided by me. Must have operational 4x4.
Saturday Evening
- Cookout provided by the Badlands
- Campfire to hang out and share stories (open to everyone)
- Overland camping in the same spot, or stay at Ott if you prefer
Sunday – May 3
- Open trail riding for all participants

Friday – Sunday Package
$100 pre-reg / $125 at the gate
Includes park admittance for all 3 days, one campfire meal, event T-shirt, dash plaque, and two nights of overland camping
